For the next 6-8 weeks, pole inspections are taking place in Brule, Buffalo and Jerauld Counties. The highlighted area on the map below shows the pole testing locations. Members may see crews from SBS Pole Inspections digging around poles or riding ATVs and pickups along power lines.
The annual inspection program detects poles with potential faults to prevent future unplanned outages or damages. Approximately 5,000 poles will be tested. Please contact Central Electric's office with any questions.
