Tell us about a difference-maker in your community. Nominations are now open for the “Who Powers You” contest being hosted by Central Electric Cooperative and the region’s other Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives. This is the contest’s second year, and the goal is to recognize people who are making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Nominations will be accepted through April 7, 2023. Three final winners will be selected based on the impact that they have on individuals they serve and the community as a whole. Weekly finalists will be featured on the Keloland Living television program.

The Who Powers You contest grand prize winner will receive a $3,000 prize. The second place winner will receive $1,500 and the third place winner will receive $500.

“This contest showcases our commitment to the communities we serve,” said Tara Miller, manager of communications at Central Electric Cooperative. “These individuals aren’t in it for the recognition, they are simply good people doing their part.”

Volunteers, first responders, teachers, non-profit workers and other outstanding community members are just some of the people one could consider nominating.
