Students Honored for Short Go Qualification at SDHSR State Finals

Central Electric Cooperative, as part of Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives, awarded shirts to four local students for qualifying for the short go in the South Dakota High School Rodeo Association state finals this past summer.

The students honored included Mason Moody of Letcher, SD for bull riding and team roping; Kaitlyn Sandland of Mount Vernon, SD for goat tying; Ryan Bergeson of Mitchell, SD for team roping, and Traden Lockwood of Mitchell, SD for saddle bronc riding.

The short go consists of the 15 athletes who accumulated the most points in the first two rounds of the state finals plus qualifying points from the regional rodeos. Moody qualified in bull riding and team roping.

South Dakota’s Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives are proud supporters of South Dakota High School Rodeo and support these student athletes as they embody the same values as Touchstone Energy®: innovation, integrity, accountability and commitment to community.  Shirts were awarded to 140 short go qualifiers across the state.
