Jeff Gustafson of Ethan was elected to the Central Electric board of directors during the cooperative’s Davison County district meeting on Tuesday, June 15.

Gustafson has worked for the S.D. Department of Transportation for 34 years, where he currently manages the operations office. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from South Dakota State University. He also has 12 years of school board experience and has served a volunteer coach for youth sports.

Gustafson will fill the seat of retiring Davison County director Darwin “Butch” Morrison of Mitchell following Central Electric’s annual meeting in September. Morrison has served on the board since 2003.
