Central Electric and its neighboring Touchstone Energy® Cooperatives are excited to announce the fourth annual Who Powers You Contest. Nominations are being accepted online at WhoPowersYouContest.com. The contest seeks to highlight local figures and community organizations that are making a difference in the lives of others.
"Your electric cooperative's services extend beyond delivering safe, reliable power to its member-owners. The Who Powers You contest highlights our commitment to the communities and member-owners we serve," said Tara Miller, Manager of Communications at Central Electric. "Local communities are filled with people and groups making a difference. Let's celebrate them!"
Cooperative members, employees and residents who live or work within the service territory of the region's Touchstone Energy Cooperatives are eligible to be nominated. Nominations will be accepted through April 11. Weekly finalists will be announced and featured on Keloland Living starting on March 13, and the contest winners will be announced on Keloland Living on May 22.
Three final winners will be selected by a panel of judges based on the impact they have on the community. The grand prize winner will receive $3000, the second-place winner will receive $1500 and the third-place winner will receive $500.
